District Mission Statement

The mission of Michigan Center School District is to engage, challenge and motivate life-long learners towards excellence through innovation.

The Michigan Center School District covers an area of approximately 24 square miles in eastern Jackson County. Michigan Center Lake and Round Lake comprise a chain of lakes that stretch for approximately ten (10) miles. Because of the proximity of these and other lakes, area residents are offered a multitude of recreational activities available during the four seasons.

Michigan Center is centrally located to various Michigan urban areas, such as Jackson, Lansing (40 miles), Ann Arbor (40 miles), Ypsilanti (45 miles) and Detroit (70 miles). These urban areas give area students many activities that a major city or college community has to offer.

Education is important to the Michigan Center community as evidence by the school's programs and facilities. The students of the school district are housed in three building; Jr/Sr High School (7-12), Arnold Elementary (K-2), Keicher Elementary Complex (3-4, Preschool/Child Care & Grades 5-6).
